First Bike Ride

On Monday I went on my first bike ride of 2006. Spring was in the air, and so was the pollen. I suffer from seasonal allergies, so it was a blast that night -- still is -- emanating from deep within my nasal passage, and exploding out with a force that would have blown my head clear off my body if it wasn't twisted on securely.

Port Perry

Port Perry is about an hour away from Toronto. It's a little town on Lake Scugog, that my wife and I like to visit every now and again -- me, for the "afternoon tea" and my wife for the small shops. (She enjoys the "afternoon tea" as well.) The photo above is a panoramic that was stitched together from five originals. You will notice the trunk of the white car that disappears in the middle of the image ... that's the problem with trying to make panoramics from a scene that's changing. Below you'll find another panoramic from five photos I snapped while on a hill on highway 7. I've always wanted to capture a landscape like that, but since I don't have wide angle lenses, stitching had to be relied on.

Mica

A couple of weekends ago, my family went over to dinner's at a friends. They have a dog. I took some pictures. Most of the photography that night was crap. I didn't use the flash, so the camera was taking its time, and most of shots ended up being blurred. This one, one of only a few, wasn't blurred. It happens to be some of the first shots I've taken of a dog. You can find the rest at Webshots with my cat photos.

Winter Walk
